Overview
Bookmarks Vol. 3 continues my personal exploration of translating complex narratives into essential visual symbols. For this series, I drew inspiration from a selection of unforgettable titles, distilling their atmospheres into designs that balance functional purpose with artistic expression.
The core of this volume was the experimentation with digital freehand techniques. I moved between rigid geometries—softened by gritty and grainy textures—and more organic, fluid shapes. The use of specific brushes allowed me to add a tactile depth to the minimalism, creating a bridge between the clean lines of vector design and the warmth of traditional drawing.
Maintaining a restrained color palette was crucial to ensure cohesion across diverse subjects. Finally, each bookmark was evolved into a poster format, designed not just as a reading accessory, but as an elegant piece of interior decor capable of standing alone as an artwork.
