Circolo degli Alpini
Overview
Circolo degli Alpini is a characteristic bruschetteria situated beneath the castle of Castrocaro. Recently reopened, this venue carries years of history, standing as a cherished symbol for the local community.
I was approached to design a new brand identity that could honor this heritage while appealing to a younger, modern clientele. The challenge was to balance the traditional values associated with the “Alpini” name with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.
The goal wasn’t just to create a logo for stationery, but to forge a true symbol to be worn with pride. I developed a simple, recognizable mark designed specifically for merchandising—from hats to hoodies—ensuring it would resonate both on social media and in the real world.
The rebranding proved to be an immediate success, becoming a key element in the restaurant’s revitalization and supporting the passion of the new management.
“I drew inspiration from the rich history of the Alpini. Their strong connection with the mule, a loyal companion in every journey, became the heart of the logo.
The result is a modern, geometric design that pays tribute to tradition while looking to the future.”
“The color palette is a direct tribute to the territory and the table. I selected a Deep Carmine to evoke the conviviality of wine and the historical Alpini identity. This is paired with a vibrant Saffron Mango, adding a modern, energetic contrast.”
“The goal was to design a brand capable of fostering a true sense of belonging. The minimalist lines of the logo allow for bold applications on clothing, transforming customers into proud ambassadors. From snapback caps to hoodies, the merchandise became an instant hit, proving that tradition can be incredibly cool.”
“While a strong visual identity sets the stage, it is the people who bring a brand to life. The rebranding provided the visual spark for the relaunch, but the true leverage was the passion and expertise of the owner and his staff. The new logo is now more than just a graphic; it is a banner for their hard work and a symbol of the community’s renewed spirit.”
